Sign up for your class. Click here to sign up for your class. The contact is JoBeth Mills jobeth.mills@examfx.com. Registration instructions can be found here.
Get both your Life Insurance and Health Insurance Licenses. The Health license allows you to sell disability and most importantly you need it to sell Long Term Care AND life insurance products that have long term care riders.
You can take the test together which is cheaper, or you can take them separately depending on how nervous you are about the material. If you don't pass one part - you only need to retake that one part.
We have found that the folks that take the live in-person class generally enjoy the process, get licensed FASTER and have a higher pass rate than those that study on-line on their own. The instructors teach to how to pass the exam which is better than just getting the material presented via book / video. This is especially true for busy part-time people that quickly have other priorities. Also know that the 8 hour class time is the equivalent of many more of those hours for self-study.
If you are going to study on your own, then work with your trainer to set a date and put a plan to keep you on track. At this link you can order study material for under $30. When you order and create an account make sure you put the email, name, and phone of your manager/trainer so they can help keep track and help with your license studying.
Reed and Evelyn also have a PC based study CD (from Testeachers / ExamFX) We also have a copy of the older materials in Spanish. If you are interested, please contact us.

Step 2 - Schedule Your Exam
Schedule your exam at Pearsonvue.com
It is important to schedule your test for two reasons: A) so that you have a date that you are working toward and focused on in order to pass the test. It should be between 2-14 days after your class. B) so that when you are ready, you know they have a slot available. Otherwise you can be ready, but then have to wait another 1-2 weeks for an opening. You can always reschedule before 24 hours in advance for free.
Step 3 - Take the Required Online Pretest
Note do NOT wait until you do this in order to schedule your exam. You should have already scheduled it. Also this needs to be proctored. Ask me about it, because we can help so don't make it a bigger deal than it needs to be.
Step 4 - Take the Test
70 or better, so 70 is a perfect score because otherwise you get a "Pass" and you studied too hard.
